West Los Angeles, often referred to as the Westside, is considered by some as anything west of the I-110 freeway and by others as anything west of La Cienega Blvd. and still others have a different definition of the boundaries. Ironically enough, West Los Angeles is actually a neighborhood-level district of the City of Los Angeles. It is bordered on the North by Wilshire Blvd, to the South by Santa Monica Freeway (I-10), to the East by the San Diego Freeway (I-405) and on the West by Centinela Ave. separating it from Santa Monica city limits. The housing is comprised of a healthy mixture of single-family residences, condos, town homes, residential investment property and apartment buildings. It is quite a diverse community and offers a variety of recreational entertainment, educational programs, numerous parks, fine dining, and specialty shopping.
